A FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP READING

Directed by Giovanna Sardelli

Featuring Scott Aiello, Mary Beth Fisher, Jeremy Kahn, Katharine Lorraine, Carrie Paff, Katy Sullivan, and Katherine Hamilton

Available to watch from June 4 at 6pm PDT to June 8 at 6pm PDT

What if a woman rethought, reshaped, rebooted and rewrote the Pandora’s Box myth? That’s the premise of the play Pandora. Ignorance killed the cat. Curiosity was framed. What if a new adult female person—was suddenly created and dropped into the middle of the world now—someone with no preconceived notions of anything. What beauty is, what love is, what violence is. And what if the rest of humanity and gods could suddenly see the world through those clear eyes? From the author of They Promised Her the Moon, this special free reading is the first in TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's New Works From Home initiative.

Why should humans have all the fun?

This week, Executive Director Phil Santora's cat Grace became the littlest Little Edie from Grey Gardens, and Digital Media Manager Jenny Gosk's chihuahua Pigeon channeled Miss Harriet Smith from Emma in a bonnet we can only describe as fetching.
