“Roxy and Buffy Walk Into a Bar...Or, how my alter ego helps me find my inner Slayer”
Launch your Festival with an evening of good humor and exuberant writing from Suzanne Bradbeer, author of TheatreWorks’ hit drama Confederates, nominated for seven Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle awards. Suzanne will tell us how she summons courage from her alter ego, Roxy—with a little help from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Come delight in the unique creative process of this year’s finalist for the prestigious Moss Hart and Kitty Carlisle Hart New Play Initiative.
IMPORTANT: The parking lot at the Lucie Stern Community Center is under construction until January 2020, so we recommend giving yourself an additional half hour to find a spot in the streets of the surrounding neighborhood. There is a small lot open behind the theatre off of Hopkins Ave, but it only contains 27 spaces. For patrons with mobility issues, we recommend utilizing the drop-off area at the front of the Lucie Stern Community Center, at the corner of Middlefield Rd and Melville Ave.
