Our Mission:
Engage and expose our educational and community organizations to the art of theatre using TheatreWorks' productions and artists in programs that build theatre professionals and audiences.

The Workshop, formerly TheatreWorks Education and Community Engagement Programs, encompasses a wide variety of programs which strive to create educational and uplifting theatre experiences for all ages. Acting classes are available in the form of camps and conservatories that create a solid foundation of experience and theatre appreciation. Our youngest participants benefit from a range of programs that introduce these future audience members and theatre professionals to the joys of language and performance, such as Playing with Poetry and Oskar. Teen programs include Shakespeare: the Remix and Student Speak/The Playwright’s Project. Dedicated to assisting teachers in ways that support and strengthen their teaching goals, The Workshop has developed a program of Research Schools as well as Teacher Training Workshops. Work in the community includes highly acclaimed programs like the Children’s Healing Project, the Bridges projects, as well as How TheatreWorks, and Discussion Wednesdays which provide opportunities to our adult patrons.
