Young Artists in Residence
Become a Young Artist In Residence and learn the ins and outs of how a theatre company works. You get to peek behind the scenes at TheatreWorks, plus you have a say in what classes, shows, and programs we create. You also get discounts on workshops, the New Works Conservatory, and the 24 Hour Play Festival.
24-Hour Play Festival
START ASSEMBLING YOUR TEAM! Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Gather 5 to 8 people from your school, friends, or drama club. Report to theatre base camp for a 24-hour play creation lockdown. You’ll have one day, one theme, one bag of supplies, and one chance at glory. Top teams will be recognized during the 2013/14 TheatreWorks season.
Each summer, junior high and high school students are given the opportunity to advance their skills in acting, music, playwriting, and movement. For grades 6-8, the Junior Conservatory is a three week program where middle school students can start to take their craft to the next level. For grades 9-12, the New Works Conservatory is a five week training ground for engaging in serious training for emerging artists. At our summer conservatories, we take your skills to the next level!
