Internships
A Work-Experience Program
TheatreWorks affords an opportunity for students, pre-professionals, and career-changers to join our team, working side-by-side with an award-winning staff of artists and administrators.
Our year-round Professional Internship Program offers individually designed internships of two to nine months in duration. All interns work in cross-departmental activities as well as their primary area of interest, and are immersed in day-to-day operations of the company on a full-time basis.
This summer TheatreWorks is introducing an Introductory Internship Program offering opportunities to assist in our summer camps and experience an overview of TheatreWorks operations.
Eligibility
The Professional Internship Program is intended for applicants of college age or older. Exceptional high school seniors entering college will be considered.
The Introductory Internship Program is available to students entering their junior year of high school, or older. All applicants must hold U.S. citizenship, or be in possession of legal work permits prior to application.
Dates/Hours
Interns must log at least 120 hours, regardless of how that time is structured. Please review individual internships details for further information.
Reimbursement/Housing/Transportation
Internships are unpaid. We do not offer housing, but will assist interns in locating appropriate local rental situations. Out-of-town applicants should plan on housing costs starting at a minimum of $1000 per month. Offices and performance venues are not readily accessible by public transit. Interns must provide their own vehicles. Qualified interns may apply for paid stipends on a running crew or in our inside sales department to supplement their income while working with the company.
