Gala 40
Gala40 is set for Saturday, May 8, 2010 to benefit TheatreWorks.
To mark TheatreWorks’ 40th Anniversary, we are honoring two Silicon Valley visionaries who nurtured an environment for innovation: Robert Kelley for his support of new playwrights, composers, and lyricists, and Frank Quattrone for his leadership in launching cutting edge technology companies.
The evening will begin with cocktails, dinner and a live auction at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View, and continue with a one-night only concert featuring favorite TheatreWorks artists at Mountain View Center for Performing Arts. They will join composers Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre, Emma, Daddy Long Legs), Jeanine Tesori (Shrek, Caroline or Change, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Violet) Vienna Teng (Sid Arthur: A Tale of A Modern Buddha) Valerie Vigoda and Brendan Millburn of Groovelily (Striking 12, Long Story Short, Sleeping Beauty Wakes) and guest emcee David Henry Hwang. The evening will close with champagne and dessert.
