The Workshop
Now known collectively as The Workshop, TheatreWorks' broad range of educational and community programs helps learners of all ages discover and understand the power of live theatre and tap the creativity within themselves.
Through performing arts classes, touring productions and student matinees, resources for teachers, audience enrichment programs, and other offerings, The Workshop seeks to teach, inspire, and heal...to develop the theatre artists and audiences of tomorrow...and to engage our community in vital discourse about the challenges, hopes, and opportunities we share.
In our most recent complete programming year, The Workshop served more than 17,000 students, nearly 1400 adult learners, and 921 teachers in 88 schools 26 of them for the first time across our seven-county region.
The Workshop is supported by the generosity of leading corporations and foundations and scores of individual donors who believe, as we do, that the art of theatre is essential to our humanity and our common life.
