The costume rentals department is currently open for appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. An advance appointment is required to rent or return costumes. We prefer to schedule appointments at least 48 hours in advance. Our costume stock includes a substantial number of pieces of western 19th and 20th century garments, including hats, from shows that TheatreWorks has produced. We also have a good selection of ethnic, military, and fantasy costumes that have been used in our productions. Our collection does not include commercial costumes such as popular cartoons, Disney characters, Santas, or Easter Bunnies. Costume rentals are "self-service" and you should plan on making an appointment to select costumes apporximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to your show opening. The Costume Rentals Manager will be available to help you locate items within the stockroom. We allow you to pull extra costumes for choices in fittings. If you bring back what you cannot use before your opening date, we will take unused items off your invoice. Our costumes all rent on a piece by piece basis and rental rates are established for a 4 to 6 week production run. If your production runs 2 weeks or less, you are eligible for our short run discount. As a renter, you are responsible for cleaning the costumes prior to their return to TheatreWorks. At this time TheatreWorks only rents to schools, other theatre companies, film companies, and other professional organizations. Regretfully, we do not rent to individuals.
